Mental Health
Today, primary care is a cornerstone of mental healthcare, especially as access to mental health specialists has become increasingly limited. Many mental health concerns are first recognized and treated in the primary care setting, where care is continuous, approachable, and centered on the whole person.
At Scheiner Medical Center, mental healthcare is a meaningful part of our everyday work. We provide diagnosis and management of common adult mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, and adult ADHD, offering timely, integrated care.
ADULT ADHD
Adult ADHD affects attention, focus, organization, time management, and impulse control. Symptoms may show up as chronic disorganization, difficulty completing tasks, forgetfulness, or feeling mentally overwhelmed.
Many adults are undiagnosed until later in life, often after years of academic, work, or emotional challenges.
At Scheiner Medical Center, adult ADHD care focuses on careful assessment, functional impact, and individualized treatment to help patients improve focus, efficiency, and day‑to‑day functioning.
ANXIETY
Anxiety in adults can present as persistent worry, restlessness, irritability, physical tension, or difficulty concentrating and sleeping. While occasional stress is normal, anxiety becomes a concern when symptoms are ongoing, excessive, or interfere with daily life. At Scheiner Medical Center, we focus on identifying the underlying contributors to anxiety and providing individualized, evidence-based management to help patients feel more balanced, calm, and in control.
INSOMNIA
Insomnia involves difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early, often leading to daytime fatigue, brain fog, and reduced functioning. In adults, insomnia commonly occurs on its own or alongside stress, anxiety, depression, or medical conditions. At Scheiner Medical Center, insomnia is carefully assessed and managed as a key component of overall mental and physical health, with a focus on sustainable, long-term improvement in sleep quality.
DEPRESSION
Depression is more than feeling sad—it can affect mood, energy, motivation, sleep, appetite, and overall quality of life. Adults with depression may experience loss of interest, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, or feelings of hopelessness that persist over time. Scheiner Medical Center provides comprehensive evaluation and personalized treatment to support emotional wellbeing, restore functioning, and improve day-to-day life.
