How to Connect: Your Step-by-Step Telemedicine Guide
To prepare for your telemedicine appointment at River City Medicine, please follow the instructions below.

Receiving Your Visit Link

  • Watch for a text: At the time of your appointment, your provider will send a secure link via text message to the phone number on file.

  • One-tap access: Tap the link in the message to join your session instantly. The link will open directly in your mobile browser (such as Safari or Chrome).

  • Grant permissions: If prompted, select "Allow" to give the browser permission to use your camera and microphone. This is essential for a HIPAA-compliant, two-way video session.

Our providers make every effort to begin appointments at their scheduled times. However, as with in-person visits, unexpected clinical delays can sometimes occur. We kindly ask for your patience. If you have not received your secure Doximity link within 15 minutes of your scheduled start time, please contact our office so we can assist you.

Setting the Stage

  • Check your connection: Ensure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal or a reliable cellular data connection.

  • Find a private space: Choose a quiet, well-lit room where you can discuss your health information privately.

  • Position your camera: Place your device on a stable surface at eye level. Avoid sitting with a bright window behind you, as this makes it difficult for the provider to see your face.

What to Have Ready

  • Medication list: Have your current prescriptions and dosages ready to review.

  • Vitals: If possible, have your recent weight, temperature, or blood pressure readings available.
